Our WA LOCAL KUMQUATS are in, so grab a pot and pull out one your old jars and let’s make some delicious marmalade!
INGREDIENTS:
1. Slice 400g of kumquats into small wedges and remove the seeds and remove any centre pith.
2. Peel and discard the peel and pith of one large juicy orange and chop up the flesh.
3. Squeeze the juice of one good size lemon.
4. Choose between 1.5 cups and 2 cups of sugar
5. Two cups of filtered water.
METHOD
1. Add all the prepared ingredients into the pot, bring to a rigorous boil and then simmer and stir till thick and syrupy. (Allow up to 40 minutes).
2. Heat up your jar (fill it up with hot water) and soak the lid in hot water and then add your hot jam into your empty hot jar.
3. Pop the lid on tightly and leave to cool.
NOT TOO HARD AT ALL!
