As Mooba Cockburn continue to fight for their home in Cockburn Central Park, I thought the Treeby locals deserve to see the actions of their council and recent article in Fremantle Herald Official newspaper.

It is important to let you all know that in the East Ward of these upcoming council elections, Mooba Cockburn has been offered an amazing amount of support from one East Ward Candidate that deserves a mention by us and a shout out that this person has our vote in East Ward.

Reuben Smalley is a young 19 year old running as Councillor, that’s extraordinary that someone that young has even the interest to do so but this candidate is passionate, inspiring and is a remarkable young man that would be a huge asset to this city. He is also genuinely a good man who cares, he has checked in on Mooba Cockburn constantly, has worked tirelessly in trying to find a solution and appears to have the vision that this city needs. He even offered to be there Thursday and Friday to help us remove everything from the shop.

So in EAST WARD Mooba is voting for REUBEN SMALLEY.

Hey Cockburn! Big update about our beloved Mooba Café and the park near Cockburn Central Train Station—within weeks, this community spot faces boarding up to make way for a nine-story housing development. The café, the park, the container art: all at risk.

But here’s the real question—not who dropped the ball on planning, but who’s ready to pick it up and run with it? That’s what matters for Mooba and the community.
Recently, Marcin Gabriel-Borowski met with Mark, the owner of Mooba, to talk through any and all options to keep this much-loved café serving Cockburn. There’s still hope if our voices are loud and clear!
