October, Brewed Together.

October has been a month full of good coffee, lovely people, and plenty to celebrate.

We kicked off International Coffee Day with a Moccamaster giveaway, then got together with our lovely customers for a tasting of our latest single origins. Thank you for continuing to support our single origin programme. Every cup helps us share the stories of the small farms and producers behind our coffee, and keeps us connected to the people who make it all possible.

We also welcomed our new Seasonal Blend, created exclusively for the Hot Bread Group. Another exciting blend, ready to be enjoyed one cup at a time.

And before we head into November, there's still time to enjoy "BOO31" Free Shipping, available until midnight on 1 November, plus our W MINI Giveaway!

Thank you for being part of our coffee community, for exploring new coffees with us, and for supporting the people and passion behind every cup.

There’s something about a morning at Big Loaf Factory Bakery — the smell of fresh bread, something warm from the bakery, and a good coffee to bring it all together.

A few weeks ago, Big Loaf’s Head Barista Summah joined our Head Roaster Marte at the Karvan roastery for a tasting session, working through different blend ratios to find the one that best suits the Big Loaf experience.

The result is Karvan Seasonal Blend 1, created exclusively for the Hot Bread Group and now proudly pouring at Big Loaf.

Bringing together Colombian and Brazilian coffees, it’s rich, sweet and full-bodied, with notes of Chocolate Mousse, Cherry Ripe and Caramel Fudge — made to pair beautifully with milk and your favourite bakery treats.

Come for the bread. Stay for the coffee.

Our Round 6 Karvan Art Cup features Perth artist Rob Forlani and his beautiful artwork, Nights in Malta.

Inspired by the glowing streets of Valletta during Notte Bianca—where music, color, light, and art fill the city—Rob brings that same warmth and joy into this piece. And there’s a little Fremantle in there too. Think gelato, lavender, honey, and those sweet little memories that somehow find their way into a cup of coffee.

Rob describes the artwork as “warm, happy, and comforting—just like a good cup of coffee.” We couldn’t have said it better.

We love seeing art find its way into everyday moments, and this one feels especially good to have around.

The new Seasonal Blend 1 has landed at North Street Store.

Created exclusively for Hot Bread Group, this blend brings together Colombia Las Galeras and Brazil Sucuri Farm for a rich, full-bodied cup with Chocolate Mousse, Cherry Ripe & Caramel Fudge.

Head to North Street Store and give the new Seasonal Blend a taste.

We’ve been busy in the roastery, and I’m excited to share our new Seasonal Blend.

I travelled to Brazil to visit Danilo Barbosa and his family at Sucuri Farm. Meeting the people behind the coffee was special, and their natural lots bring big, bold sweetness. I haven’t made it to Colombia yet, but I know a good Colombian when I taste one. Galeras is sweet, clean and full of fruit and chocolate, and it balances the Brazil perfectly.

Together they harmonise, which is what a blend must do. In the cup: chocolate mousse, cherry ripe and caramel fudge, with a pecan and dark chocolate finish.

I also made a small tweak to the roast development. The result is a fuller body that carries through milk even better, and it’s still sweet enough for black.

Hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
