This evening, as I prepared curry puffs, I tuned into MasterChef where they were showcasing nyonya kuih and curry puffs. I have to say, I'm incredibly proud of Poh for featuring this Malaysian delicacy and the spiral curry puff in the Australian MasterChef challenge. The contestants did a great job in their ability to create these dishes in such short time, even if they aren't flawless. Crafting kuih and curry puffs is no easy feat; it demands skill, technique, and a great deal of patience. I can attest to this from my own experience, as it took me a lot of practice to perfect my kuih and spiral curry puffs today.
Nyonya cuisine and kuih are integral parts of my heritage, and I truly hope that after watching the show, more people will come to appreciate them. It's a unique blend of flavors and traditions that deserves recognition and love ❤️
