Cancer has touched our family in a very personal way. Brian is taking on this challenge in memory of his father, Roger Whitmarsh, and in support of everyone whose life has been affected by cancer.

Over the next year, he will be growing his hair before shaving it all off on Easter Sunday 2027 at BIG4 Dongara Denison Beach Holiday Park, just before our annual Quiz Night.

Every donation, no matter the size, will help Cancer Council continue funding life-saving research, provide support services for people living with cancer, and bring hope to families facing one of life’s toughest challenges.

Whether you’ve lost someone you love, are currently fighting cancer, or know someone who is, this fundraiser is for you.

Hi Crew,

It is with more than a tinge of sadness, that we would like to advise you, after 20 years of owning and running the tav it is time for us to sell and focus on our health and our family.

It has been a 1/3 of our lives and we have/are having so much fun spreading hospitality to you all.

We have always been a Family Business, that employs families and we serve families.

Abbey was only 6 when we set up home in Denison/Dongara, and we can’t think of a better place for her to have grown up in.
The local folks soon made us welcome, then they became friends and now we feel we have an extended family.

Over the next few weeks we will post some of our great memories of The Tav and would encourage you all to share any memories you have.

Settlement of the business looks like the end of August.
However till then we will be having more Farewells than Johnny Farnham.
