The Committee of Renmark Club Inc. invites all Financial Members to attend a Special General Meeting to be held on:
Monday, 3 August 2026
Commencing at 8:00pm
Renmark Club
The purpose of the meeting is to consider and, if thought fit, approve amendments to the Renmark Club Constitution.
Proposed Amendments
The current Constitution (2024) consists of 55 numbered clauses. The proposed Constitution has been modernised, restructured into 20 sections and sub-sections, and updated to reflect current legislation and governance practices.
Clauses 1–4 – Updated definitions and references to current legislation.
Clauses 5–23 (Membership) – Updated membership provisions, including applications, subscriptions, resignations, dispute resolution and reciprocal membership arrangements.
Clauses 24–45 (Committee of Management) – Updated Committee governance, election procedures, meeting administration, office bearer responsibilities and Committee powers.
Clause 46 – Updated banking provisions, including electronic funds transfer and dual authorisation requirements.
Clause 47 – Borrowing powers.
Clause 48 – Investments.
Clause 49 – General provisions.
Clause 50 – Notice provisions.
Clauses 51–52 – Liquidation provisions.
Clause 54 – Cases not covered by the Rules.
Clause 55 – Sponsorship provisions.
The revised Constitution has also been reformatted and renumbered for ease of reference. Minor spelling, grammar and formatting corrections have been made where required. These editorial changes do not alter the intent or operation of the Constitution.
