BLACK GOLD has officially been named Best Café in Melbourne at the Time Out Awards 2026 — for the second year in a row.
After 9 years of early mornings, long days, consistency, passion and backing ourselves, to receive this recognition again honestly means the world to us.
What started as a passion project between a chef and a former real estate agent has grown into something so much bigger than we ever imagined — a place built around great coffee, loaded toasties, good people and a community that continues to show up for us every single day.
To our incredible team, past and present — thank you. Every person who has worked behind the machine, in the kitchen, on the floor or washed dishes played a part in this.
And to our customers — thank you for the support, the queues, the reposts, the coffees, the loyalty and for making Black Gold what it is today.
