Introducing the musicians of OVERDRIVE Sydney's NEW SUNDAY ROCK RESIDENCY at The Bridge Hotel Rozelle | Chris Alford - KEYS 🎹

Originally a country boy from the north, CHRIS ALFORD learned his trade on the rock streets of 90's Newcastle, playing keyboards and guitar. In the new century he toured the country , joining the bands of Aussie rock royalty such as Brian Cadd, Russell Morris, Marcia Hines and Ian Moss; then playing and touring with the newer stars like Damien Leith, Melinda Schneider and Guy Sebastian, and most recently joining 70's disco legends Boney M (UK) as keyboard player for their sellout Australasian tour!

Chris's expertise and devotion to performance sees him playing a new set almost every week, whether it's with the Las Vegas-based Australian Bee Gees show, or WA-based singer Bloom, 80's legends Brian Mannix and Scott Carne, and many many more! He was the Musical Director for the long-running Metropolis Orchestral Rock Series at the State Theatre and Palais Melbourne, and is MD for INXS lead singer JD Fortune (Canada) for his current Australian tours.

Chris is inspired by classic and progressive rock of all sorts and is very keen to bring his talents to the legendary BRIDGE HOTEL for the premier of OVERDRIVE on the 21st of June, playing keyboards, guitar, saxophone and contributing vocals to the diverse setlist.

Peter Gray is one of Australia's most respected and experienced bass players, bringing decades of live performance, recording, and touring experience to every stage he steps onto.

Best known for his time with legendary Australian icons **Mental As Anything**, Peter joined the band's touring line-up in 2017, performing bass and vocals during the final years of one of Australia's most beloved and successful bands. He appeared with the Mentals throughout their 40th anniversary celebrations and toured extensively alongside founding member Greedy Smith.

Following the passing of Greedy Smith, Peter continued to keep the spirit of the Mentals alive as a member of **X-Mentals**, performing the classic songs that helped define Australian pub rock and pop for generations.

Throughout his career Peter has earned a reputation as a rock-solid bassist with a powerful stage presence, exceptional musicianship, and an instinctive feel for what makes great live music connect with an audience. Whether delivering the infectious grooves of Australian classics or driving hard-hitting rock anthems, his playing is always tasteful, energetic, and unmistakably professional.

Now bringing his wealth of experience to **OVERDRIVE**, Peter forms part of a powerhouse line-up of Sydney musicians dedicated to delivering classic rock at its very best. Dave Wilkins is one of Sydney's most respected and powerful rock vocalists, with a career spanning decades across some of Australia's hardest-working live bands.

Many Sydney rock fans first came to know Dave as the frontman of the hugely popular Wrecking Crew, a high-energy 90s hard rock outfit that built a massive following throughout Sydney's pub and club circuit alongside guitarist Brent Dehn. Their explosive live shows earned them a loyal fan base and a reputation as one of the city's premier rock acts.

Earlier in his career, Dave fronted Utopian Babies, a band that gained national exposure through multiple appearances on the iconic Australian television program Hey Hey It's Saturday, bringing their energetic rock sound into living rooms across the country.

Dave later spent four years as the lead singer of legendary Australian pub rock band Spy vs Spy, performing the band's catalogue of classic Australian rock anthems and continuing their proud live legacy.

Today, Dave brings his unmistakable voice, commanding stage presence and deep love of classic rock to OVERDRIVE, where he fronts an ever-changing line-up of Sydney's finest musicians. One of Australia's most powerful and recognisable rock voices, Spencer Jones first captured national attention during the 2017 season of *The Voice Australia*, where he became the most successful rock artist in the show's history at that time, reaching the semi-finals and earning widespread acclaim for his unforgettable rendition of *Skyfall*.

Originally from the UK, Spencer began his professional music career at just 17, cutting his teeth in London's clubs and pubs before sharing stages, studios and tours with an impressive list of rock royalty including Adrian Smith (Iron Maiden), Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin), Scott Gorham (Thin Lizzy), Deborah Bonham and Asia.

Brent Dehn is one of Sydney's most respected rock guitarists, known for his powerful stage presence, tasteful musicianship and decades of experience performing on Australian stages.

Best known for his tenure with iconic Australian pub-rock legends The Radiators, Brent spent eight years as the band's guitarist, carrying on the legacy of one of Australia's most enduring live acts. During his time with The Radiators, he performed extensively across the country, earning a reputation for delivering high-energy performances and authentic rock 'n' roll guitar work.

Today, Brent continues to be a sought-after performer, bringing his passion for classic rock to audiences through his work with Deep Purple tribute sensation For The Love Of Purple and Sydney favourites The Happy Hippies. Equally at home delivering blistering lead guitar, melodic solos or driving rhythm work, Brent's playing reflects a lifelong love of the great British and Australian rock traditions.
