But on a rainy, gloomy morning like this, a hot and spicy bowl of noodle soup actually feels pretty amazing 😌

下雨天的周末,他又来了。

这位出生于上世纪40年代的老先生,每周都会来我们店里两三次。点三杯和他本人一样,沉稳、浓郁、带点岁月余韵的意式浓缩☕️,对的,是三杯,每次只点一个浓缩…

他总是坐在阳台靠边的位置,慢慢翻着一本同样出版于40年代的旧书,纸页已经泛黄,却依然被他捧得格外温柔,仿佛里面藏着他年轻时的故事。

雨声落下,他的手轻轻抚过书页的纹理,那一刻,好像时间被放慢了,我看到了岁月的味道混合着咖啡,进入了在书里,也在他安静的呼吸里。

哦,对了,他叫罗恩

On this rainy weekend, he came again.

Born in the 1940s, this elderly gentleman visits our café two or three times every week. He orders three espressos—yes, three—and each one is as steady, rich, and quietly complex as he is. One sip at a time, never in a rush.

He always takes the same seat along the edge of the balcony, gently turning the pages of an old book published in the 1940s 📖. The paper has yellowed with age, yet he holds it with a tenderness that feels almost like respect—perhaps the stories inside once walked alongside his own youth.

As the rain falls, his fingers glide softly over the textured pages. For a moment, time seems to slow. I can almost see the taste of years blending with the aroma of coffee—living in the book, lingering in the air, and resting quietly within his calm breath.

A quick note for Wagyu lovers — M7 is considered a high-mid grade, known for its fine marbling, balanced fat distribution, and melt-in-your-mouth tenderness without being overly rich. It strikes the perfect harmony, making it one of the most loved and “ideal balance” Wagyu grades. Today, our staff member Pius is leaving Brisbane 🇦🇺 and returning to Hong Kong 🇭🇰, and our hearts are filled with reluctance 🥹. From 19 to 22 years old—though just three short years—we have watched him grow from a somewhat inexperienced young man into a capable, responsible, and bright-hearted individual full of inner strength! He is truly one of the kindest, most reliable, and most capable employees I have ever had the pleasure of working with—without a doubt the “gem” of our team. It has been a joy to witness his growth and transformation firsthand. With light in his eyes and a clear path in his heart, someone like him is destined to go far wherever life takes him. Keep shining in the future!
