malay malay has some authentic chinese-malaysian food that’s so rich in flavour 😋

“egg noodles or vermicelli in your laksa?” how about both? malay malay’s laksa has both types of noodles and you’ll never suffer from indecision when you order their laksa. it also comes with super juicy and tender hainan chicken which pairs really well with the rich laksa soup.

their char kway teow was hot and delicious ! my friend has never had char kway teow before but can confirm he loved it too 😛

their cereal butter calamari was super interesting - it was so sweet and creamy? i didn’t expect to like it because you don’t typically think sweet when you think of calamari, but it was so crispy and the flavours worked so well!

finally, the beef rendang roti was also delicious. they were very generous with their serving of beef,
and the roti was perfectly flaky.

malay malay is located right near chinatown, and it’s definitely worth a visit if you’re after some good eats 😋

This is one of the most authentic Malaysian restaurants in Sydney!! 🙌 Located in the heart of haymarket, this restaurant takes you straight to Malaysia, serving some authentic dishes like Laksa, Nasi lemak, salted egg prawns and many more 👀

Tried their signature curry laksa with BBQ pork and it was definitely one of the most authentic laksa i’ve had in Sydney 🥘 The Chilli prawns & popcorn chicken were nice too, but the highlight of the meal was Merryland chicken Nasi Lemak - I would deffo come back again just to had this dish!! The chicken and the rice were seasoned to perfection 😮‍💨

This was SOOOOO GOOD and they give such a huge portion. The broth was really thicc and rich and a good balance between spicy and creamy. They also give 2 types of noodles and a generous amount of the tender chicken. Easily one of my fav laksas this year

🥩 𝘽𝙚𝙚𝙛 𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙧𝙤𝙩𝙞 $16.90 🌟
The roti was super flaky and soooooo buttery. The beef rendang was super aromatic and flavourful and I love they also give like a spicy sauce with it. This dish normally comes with 1 roti so I’d recommend getting at least one more (it’s just too good)

This was yum in the beginning but then it just got too overpowering with the salted egg flavour. So if you like it really strong you will enjoy this

Cute casual spot with a lot of tables and seats. I think the prices are pretty reasonable for the portions. We left sooooo full 😋
