Rainy Friday in Kogarah, but Uncontained Arts Festival is on, and it’s actually such a vibe. We rocked up randomly, checked out all the creative light installations and art, my nephew got obsessed with his prize water bottle, and I somehow walked away with toilet paper from the Sydney Water spin wheel.

It’s a free street festival running for two more nights only (Saturday and Sunday, 5 pm–10 pm) along Belgrave Street and Kogarah Town Square – heaps of families, kids, and colour. If you’re local, go wander through, play a game, grab some food, and make a night of it.

Winter warmers šŸ”„šŸ”„šŸ”„

Instagram ads got me again, and I have no regrets. These aren’t real stockings – they’re fleece‑lined, fluffy on the inside, sheer on the outside, so it feels like warm pants but looks like sexy tights. If you want to look sexy in winter in your favourite dress or skirt (or even your corporate fits), you can 100% get away with it in these, and no one will know. They come in different colours and patterns. I’ve got the little heart ones, and I’m already eyeing off the polka dots. If you like to style up but hate being cold, I highly recommend having a scroll online (so many stores to choose from) and finding a pair that suits you – they’re warm, cosy, comfy, and honestly make your legs look so good!

Scam alert! Be careful of the extras: they’ll try to sneak them on the bill here at Ennui, Sydney.

Belated birthday in a dark little corner of Sydney with friends I’ve known for years — (second time here) cosy room, friendly service, and people who spoil you. We did the $105pp French‑Australian set at Ennui: the duck was tender and succulent, the steak cooked exactly how I asked, and the wine tied it all together. Loud laughs, cake at the end, and a tip: be firm with the waiter that you only want the $105 set menu (no extras) they added a plate of extra duck when we said NO and keep an eye on how many bottles get opened (they added 2 bottles when we only had 1) so extras don’t sneak onto the bill (we had to dispute and they honoured it, felt like a scam).

Still had an amazing time 🄰Thank you to the friends who made me feel special šŸ’•

Thanks for organising & everyone for spoiling me 🩷

Monday night catch-up with my fave 🩷 First stop: surprise visit to .greenteaustralia because Nana just opened at 3/35 Ultimo Rd Haymarket (super close to ) and I haven’t seen her in forever, so obviously I had to rock up with a matcha Basque cheesecake ($11.50) rich, green tea and velvety Basque vibes, and the Swiss cake was already sold out because everyone’s obsessed 😭 Then she turned around and spoilt me with Thai/Lao at and we shared marinated crab in soy sauce, BBQ marinated baby octopus with spicy sauce, plus tom zab pork soft bone (Lao spicy sour soup with herbs and Thai fermented fish paste) warming up our bellies 🄹 Thanks for spoiling me, girl šŸŽ‚šŸ©· Loved the catch-up and the food, already keen for the next one šŸ”„

Tiny Vietnamese bar near Wynyard, Sydney that might have just stolen my cocktail loyalty. We turned it into a belated birthday night and parked ourselves at the bar, four cocktails between two people and I left fully fixated on the Saigon Sour – rye, lemon, tamarind and egg white, first time I’ve had tamarind in a drink and now I’m thinking about that whiskey way too much. Plates were pĆ¢tĆ© so, tamarind chilli chicken wings, mini crispy bĆ”nh khį»t with prawns and those triangle rice paper chips with sriracha mayo. There’s more space downstairs if you’ve got a bigger crew next time. Thank you for spoiling for my belated birthday 🩷

"Matcha vs hojicha: which one are you cheating with?"

Went to in with Icy for a naughty after‑work treat. Shared the Uji matcha and roasted hojicha gelato, plus a crispy pineapple bun and stretchy mochi wrap, the pineapple bun cracks, then the creamy hojicha melts straight through, and the matcha’s silky with the perfect bitter kick. So naughty, so delicious, 10/10 would do it again.
Thanks for the yummy invite šŸ¦

Meet Burwood Chinatown’s famous 16-year-old chef, Dimi!

Saturday night hunger sent us straight to Burwood Chinatown to finally meet the famous Dimi – the 16‑year‑old chef and entrepreneur behind House of Lim. When I was his age, I was out partying and never home, but this kid is juggling school, studies, and running not one, but two shops. His OG store is all about noodles, fish balls, beef soups, pancakes, and those cosy street‑food desserts, and then he went and opened a second spot that’s all beef ribs and chicken with sambal. I’ve tried both, and honestly, they both slap – different vibes, same ā€œI need another biteā€ energy. He opened the first store at 15, the second at 16, the crowds love him, and now he’s Insta‑famous. If you’re in Burwood, go say hello, grab your noodles, ribs, and dessert, and see why everyone’s lining up for Dimi.

Indonesian Street Food
Thursday - Sunday from 5pm-10pm, so say hello to him šŸ”„

We shared:

• Chicken Noodles
• Wagyu Beef Ball or Fish Ball Soup
• Chicken Popiah (chicken spring rolls) – steamed, fried or a mix
• Herbal Tea & Passionfruit Drink
- • Mango Pudding
- • Chocolate Pudding with Biscoff
- • Banana Fritters

Birthday Vivid dinner with the best view in Sydney .sydney ✨

surprised me with the most beautiful birthday dinner last Friday on my birthday 5th June at The Oriana Sydney in Circular Quay, and I honestly felt so spoilt. We had the full Vivid set menu – oysters, seafood, steak, dessert – every course was actually delicious, not just ā€œview foodā€. Between the glowing Opera House, Harbour Bridge, fireworks, and all that incredible food, it was one of those nights where you just sit there like… how is this my life 🄹 forever grateful to Pam for treating me and giving me the fanciest front-row seat to Vivid.

Thanks for spoiling me ā¤ļøšŸ„° Had the best time, and can't wait to celebrate your bday next!

Is this Viral tea cafe worth it or not? 1 Hour wait time .syd šŸ«–šŸµ

Social Butterfly Tea & Dessert has been all over my feed, with super mixed reviews, so I had to go see for myself. We went on a rainy Friday night, took the lift up, shoes off, sitting on the floor Japanese‑style at low tables. It’s very aesthetic but way louder than it looks, so don’t expect a zen, whispery tea ceremony, more chaotic cosy hangout with friends. Pastries, cakes, matcha lattes, big tea menu, and the staff were honestly really sweet and helpful. My favourite was the hot chrysanthemum tea; it actually calmed me down after the wait. Worth a visit if you’re curious, but just know there’s a time limit and probably a queue.

POV: pre‑birthday at the boat club, and the seafood platter that turns every ā€˜just one bite’ into a full-on feast.

Cold night, pretty lights, pre‑birthday done right ✨ Snuck out after work on Friday night with the fam to St George Motor Boat Club and grabbed a table at Marina's Edge Restaurant– city lights, boats, and cosy vibes. Started with the cutest ā€œPretty refreshing cocktail, then zucchini flowers and a stacked surf & turf seafood platter with ribs, steak, prawns, crab, bugs, oysters, and chips. Finished with a Basque caramel cheesecake topped with caramel popcorn. Soft little family pre‑birthday celebration before my actual day off starts and I fully disappear into relaxation mode.
