🌊 Tomorrow is World Ocean Day! A reminder that protecting our oceans means protecting our future.

At Novotel Sydney Darling Square, we're committed to creating a positive impact every day through meaningful sustainability initiatives. From eliminating single-use plastics and providing refillable glass water bottles with a water station in our lobby, to maintaining eco-certifications and continuously improving our environmental practices, every action counts.

Education is also at the heart of what we do. Our guests can explore interactive sustainability games on our digital screens and elevators, while all of our Heartists have completed training in ocean awareness, sustainable seafood principles, seafood traceability, and the importance of protecting our oceans.

In our restaurant, we proudly provide greater transparency by displaying the origin of our seafood (Australian, imported, or mixed), as well as the carbon footprint of menu items, helping guests make more informed choices. We also ensure that at least 25% of our dishes are plant-forward.

Together, we can help create healthier oceans and a more sustainable future for generations to come. 💙

Yesterday concluded the National Reconciliation Week. This year’s theme, All In, reminded us that reconciliation is an ongoing journey that requires active, daily commitment from all Australians.

At Novotel Sydney Darling Square, we believe that driving meaningful change starts from within. Throughout the week, we focused on engaging our team, providing our Heartists with resources to participate in community activities and reflect on our shared history. We also hosted an Indigenous-ingredient-inspired Ice Cream Friday to foster open dialogue and celebration of culture within our workplace. 🍦🌱

Reconciliation won’t happen by itself. It takes all of us being 'All In' to build a more inclusive future 🖤💛❤️
