SYDNEY TRAINS | Buses replace Shire trains this weekend.

Shire commuters are being told to plan ahead, with buses replacing trains between Cronulla, Waterfall and Central this weekend due to trackwork.

The disruption affects the T4 Eastern Suburbs and Illawarra Line today, Saturday 27 and tomorrow, Sunday 28 June.

It means passengers travelling from stations including Cronulla, Woolooware, Caringbah, Miranda, Gymea, Kirrawee, Sutherland, Loftus, Engadine, Heathcote and Waterfall will need to use replacement buses for at least part of their journey.

Transport for NSW says trains may also run to changed timetables and stopping patterns, and some passengers may need to change services to continue their trip.

Passengers are being urged to check their trip before leaving, especially anyone heading into the city.
