For over 65 years, Meals on Wheels has played a crucial role nationally in supporting the health and wellbeing of over 200,000 older Australians each year, across 592 service locations. We recently asked our clients what they think about our meals, and we're proud to share the results.

That means 93% of respondents are happy with the meals they receive from Tamworth Meals on Wheels.

Every meal is prepared with care by our dedicated kitchen team using quality ingredients, with options to suit a variety of dietary and texture-modified needs.

We were pleased to welcome Kevin Anderson MP to Tamworth Meals on Wheels this week.

Kevin spent time touring our kitchen, meeting with our wonderful staff and volunteers, and seeing firsthand the dedication that goes into preparing and delivering nutritious meals to members of our community.

During the visit, we spoke about the increasing demand for our services and shared our plans for a proposed extension that will help us continue meeting the needs of our growing client base well into the future.

As demand continues to grow, it's important that our facilities grow with it. We appreciate the opportunity to showcase the work happening behind the scenes every day and to discuss the future of Tamworth Meals on Wheels.

Thank you, Kevin, for taking the time to visit and hear about the challenges and opportunities ahead. We appreciate your support and interest in the vital role Meals on Wheels plays in our community.

💙 Supporting Better Nutrition Through Personalised Meal Choices.

We're excited to partner with Focus on Function to offer a dietitian referral service for Meals on Wheels clients who may need extra support with their meal choices.

This service is designed to help clients select Meals on Wheels menu options that align with their dietary needs, preferences, and nutrition goals. Working together, Michael (Head Chef), Chelsey (Dietitian at Focus On Function), and Jess from our administration team will help make the process as simple and seamless as possible.

If you think you, a family member, or someone you support could benefit from this service, please contact Jess on 6765 8999 to learn more.
