Another maintenance update 🙌🏻🙌🏻

Over the past 8–9 months, our club’s air conditioning and heating systems have been a major focus.

When our old systems failed, we urgently needed heating and cooling for members and guests, so we moved quickly to replace half of the club’s system to keep things running.

At the same time, we applied for a Transgrid grant in the hope it would help cover the costs of the upgrades already completed, as well as the remaining units needed to fully replace the ageing system. With that in mind, we held off on completing the second half while awaiting the outcome.

Unfortunately, our application was unsuccessful. However, with both original systems having reached the end of their life and only one side replaced, it was clear the remaining units needed to be updated as well.

Today, the team from Harrison & Higgins completed the installation of the second stage, meaning the entire club now has fully updated heating and cooling systems in place.

We’re incredibly grateful to Harrison & Higgins for their professionalism and support throughout the process. Even before these installations, they were always willing to assist with maintenance, advice, and keeping our older systems going for as long as possible.

This week the club has installed a Ticket-In, Ticket-Out system in the gaming area. This investment has significantly improved operational efficiency by reducing the need for staff to leave the bar to process payouts and complete associated paperwork.

The new system has also streamlined back-office administration, eliminating much of the manual reporting and reconciliation previously required. The time savings achieved both on the floor and behind the scenes effectively provide the club with the equivalent support of an additional staff member.

Overall, the system has proven to be a valuable investment, delivering improved customer service, greater efficiency, and reduced administrative workload for our team

After 12 years of dedicated service, our much loved Cath will be stepping down from the role of Treasurer.
This was mentioned at our AGM back in March, however we are still yet to have anyone step forward to take over.

Cath would love the opportunity to provide a solid handover to the next volunteer, so we are hopeful someone in our community may consider putting their hand up sooner rather than later.

The Treasurer role is incredibly important to keeping our club operating for the community. Quite simply, if nobody comes forward, we may very well not have a club able to open come March 2027.
