Swing into spring with October’s Bean of the Month: Colombia Nestor Lasso! 🌿 A true showcase of coffee artistry, this release balances delicate florals, vibrant fruit, sweet undertones and a gentle hint of spice. ☕
Produced at the celebrated El Diviso farm in Bruselas, Huila, Nestor Lasso’s beans are the product of a remarkable process: a 100-hour extended anaerobic wash, carefully controlled to draw out expressive character. The final soak in cherry juice from the last harvest adds another layer of complexity, resulting in a coffee that is both bold and elegant. 🍒
In the cup, expect a dynamic profile that unfolds in waves. Floral aromas of hibiscus, coffee blossom, and frangipani. Flavours of blackberry, marmalade, and nutmeg, with bright maraschino cherry acidity and a medium body that lead to a nectarine and stonefruit aftertaste. 🙌
This month’s release also features gorgeous artwork by Demitra McCarthy, who drew inspiration from Brisbane’s Jacaranda blooms - iconic in October and, fittingly, native to Colombia where this coffee begins its journey. 💜
