Not everyone has a temperature variable kettle so let’s talk about how you can make sure you’re brewing your tea at the correct temp 👌

Black teas and herbals (tisanes) need that temperature as high as possible to be able to release flavour and maximise that infusion.

Oolongs, white and green teas on the other hand require lower temperature infusions to prevent bitterness and scalding of the leaf.

Bring your kettle to a boil and pop open the lid leaving it to sit for 2 mins for oolong, 2.5 mins for white teas and 4 mins for green teas before pouring over your leaf to infuse.

Remember - green tea isn’t gross - maybe it just hasn’t been prepared correctly for you before 💚

Have you enjoyed a cup of white tea before?
If you haven't, you need to because you won't know what to do with yourself once you do.

This blend when steeped will produce a pale, golden liquor with a fresh, soft taste with subtle fruity and vanilla notes. It is lighter than other tea varieties.

White teas are the purest teas and often highly prized. They're gloriously exquisite and this blend is no different. I imagine sipping this in a beautifully adorned tea cup with matching saucer - let it transport you away to lovely places.

Tasting notes: delicate, sweet, vanilla

Ingredients: white tea, pawpaw pieces, pear pieces, mango pieces, calendula, cornflowers, rose petals and vanilla.

Brewing instructions: 1 tsp, 85 degrees for 2 mins

Serving suggestions: best consumed plain

✨ H O N E Y B U S H C R E A M ✨

A dreamy tisane full of antioxidants and polyphenols.

Tasting notes: floral, lightly roasted and similar to honey. It is sweeter and fuller bodied than rooibos.

Ingredients: Honeybush, vanilla and caramel pieces.

Brewing instructions: 100 degrees for 5 - 7 minutes

Serving suggestions: hot, iced or with steamed milk

A good night’s sleep can be all the difference in your day. And making sure we get enough sleep is a form of self care.

I hear you though, especially those of you with young children (toddlers, am I right?!) who dictate your sleep schedule. It’s hard!

But there are a number of things that are known to improve the quality of sleep:

😴 limiting our caffeine intake after midday
😴 putting away screens half an hour before heading to bed
😴 dimming overhead lighting or turning on table lamps
😴 getting into the sunshine during the day,
😴 making yourself a cup of herbal tea,
😴 and creating a comfortable sleep space for yourself

Rest is productive.

It's a hard pill to swallow but hustling all day, every day isn't going to get us anywhere if our cups are empty or knocked over.

Put your feet up, pour a glass of wine, enjoy a slow Sunday morning, get takeaway on a random Tuesday night, take a pilates class.

Remember to put your oxygen mask on before helping others.
