One week on from the 2026 AIATSIS Summit, we’re still reflecting with pride and gratitude.

Boodja Ventures was honoured to stand alongside so many strong voices, leaders, and innovators dedicated to shaping a better future for our communities.

This year’s theme “Our Truth, Our Power, Our Future” deeply resonated with us. It reminded us that our stories, knowledge, and lived experiences are not only valid, but powerful drivers of change.
Over the course of the Summit, we were inspired by the strength of shared truth, the collective power of culture, and the unwavering commitment to building futures grounded in respect, equity, and self-determination. These conversations and connections continue to energise our work and reaffirm why we do what we do.

We have some incredibly exciting news to share! 🎉

Boodja Ventures has been successful in our application for funding through the Regional Economic Development (RED) Grants program!

This grant is a game-changer for us and our region. It allows us to officially launch our Mobile Cuisine Project and acquire a fully self-sufficient, off-grid Mobile Cuisine Unit.

This means we can bring our high-quality, catering to community events and beautiful, natural locations across Bindjareb Country and the Peel region.

But it’s about so much more than just great food. This project gives us the capacity to create genuine employment pathways and traineeships for local Aboriginal people. It also means we can expand our support for the local Aboriginal foragers and micro-businesses who supply our native ingredients.

We want to extend a massive thank you to the Peel Development Commission and the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development for believing in our vision and investing in regional economic diversity.

To our wonderful clients, local government partners, and the entire community, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your ongoing support makes all of this possible.

We can't wait to serve you from our new mobile kitchen very soon! 🚐🌿

Ten Peel projects will share in $1.104 million through Round 8 of the Regional Economic Development (RED) Grants program.

The successful projects in Round 8 will not only diversify the Peel economy, but support regional job creation in the manufacturing, tourism and hospitality sectors.

Since the inception of the program, the WA government has invested more than $5.8 million across 53 locally-driven projects in Peel, helping regional businesses build capability, grow sustainably and contribute to a more diverse and resilient regional economy.
