Momâs Special Momo with Chili Oil đĨ
Today I made some soft and juicy momos with my special chili oil, and I thought Iâd share the recipe with you all so you can try it at home too. đ
For the dough:
I took 1ÂŊ cups of all-purpose flour, added a little salt, and then poured in about ÂŊ cup of really hot water. Mix it with a spoon first (so you donât burn your hands!) and then knead it well until you get a nice, smooth dough. Let it rest while we make the filling.
For the filling:
I blended one chicken breast and mixed in just a tiny bit of finely chopped cabbage, a little garlic and ginger paste, some salt, a splash of soy sauce, and a bit of lemon zest (grated lemon skin â trust me, it adds such a fresh flavor!).
Hereâs my little secret â I poured some hot oil over the filling and mixed it well. This makes the filling extra juicy and flavorful.
For the chili oil:
I took some chili flakes, added minced garlic, sesame seeds, a pinch of sugar, and a little soy sauce. Then I poured hot oil over it â the sizzling sound and smell are heavenly!
To make the momos:
Roll out the dough, put a spoonful of filling inside, fold and seal them nicely, and then steam until cooked through. Serve with the chili oil drizzled generously on top.
