WW2 Field Kitchen

WW2 Field Kitchen THE WW2 US Army Field Kitchen! With GMC Kitchen Truck & ARC Donut Dolly. Reenactment group from Belgium! An army marches on its stomach!

This saying, which attests to the importance of forces being well-provisioned, has been attributed to both Napoleon and Frederick the Great. In WW2, the US Army made a great deal of serving, as often as possible, quality hot 'chow' to its soldiers, even in the worst battle conditions. The personnel of the mess section, that existed in every company, has almost been forgotten in WW2 history writing

... and - as a consequence - also in the 'living history' scene. It is our goal to remember the dedication of these unsung heroes and to bring alive their oh so important contribution to the war effort.

Dear followers!

As you may have observed, we stopped posting on our Facebook-page.

The reason is as simple as frustrating: Meta decided to remove our Mess Sergeant's private profile without giving him a concrete reason/ nor answering on his messages.
As it was him who had the (only) admin role on this page, we are no longer able to update WW2 Field Kitchen regularily.

Years of interesting interaction with all you wonderful field kitchen enthousiasts has been brought to an abrupt stop.

As we are, due to the exact same reasons, not able to delete the page, it will remain frozen like it is as from today.

We opened a new page

You are welcome to like it, but we can't guarantee that we'll pick up the thread as we're still very disppointed on how this deaf mute multinational treats its customers.

That being said: many thanks to the 3600 followers that we gathered around our US Army Field Kitchen!

You guys and gals rock!

Peter
