June 10 marks five years since our first project with Oktra, introduced through Emily Benussi back in 2021. ✨

Visioaxis had already been creating CGI for over a decade, but this collaboration marked our first real step into the design and build industry. It opened the door to a sector where accurate visual communication, fast turnaround, and a strong understanding of interior design intent are essential.

Since then, Oktra’s projects have given us the opportunity to visualise a wide range of over 80 workplace interiors, each with its own pace, design language, and presentation needs.

For us, long-term collaborations like this are built through consistency, communication, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to different teams, briefs, and deadlines.

We’re grateful to Emily for that first introduction, and to the talented teams at Oktra for the trust over the past five years.

Workspace design today is increasingly centred around flexibility and employee experience. As companies encourage teams back into physical workplaces, shared lounges, hospitality-inspired kitchens, collaborative areas, and softer material palettes are becoming standard parts of office planning.

These spaces also demand far more coordination than a traditional office fit-out. Open social zones and mixed-use layouts all need to work together long before construction begins.

With larger investments and tighter timelines, teams need a workflow that supports fast, confident decision-making at every stage.

Context plays a major role in how product design is perceived.
For another set of visuals from Megabad’s Alluvion series, the aim was to place the accessories within calm, believable bathroom environments that help communicate both function and atmosphere.

The CGI focused on subtle material contrast, balanced lighting, and realistic spatial relationships so the products feel naturally integrated into the wider interior rather than presented as isolated catalogue elements. This approach helps communicate finish quality, proportion, and usability in a way that is far easier to interpret during specification and presentation stages.

For Megabad’s Alluvion series, the focus wasn’t only on the fittings themselves, but on how they sit within a complete bathroom environment—how finishes react to soft light, how proportions relate to surrounding elements, and how materials coexist.

Transitional zones offer valuable opportunities for focused work, and it takes an experienced design team to turn perimeter areas into highly functional settings. Built directly into the framework of this office, custom wooden seating booths offer unobstructed views out toward Chamberlain Square. To present these areas convincingly, our spatial planning visuals focused strictly on the directional sunlight passing through the adjacent glazing. By rendering the precise drop shadows and the warmth of the wood grain under natural daylight, the 3D visuals provided a realistic preview of the area's scale. This allowed the client to see how a standard passage would function as a practical, well-lit quiet zone, making the approval of these custom joinery elements a straightforward decision.

Integrating existing structural elements into an open floor plan is a common spatial challenge, and it is always a privilege to render highly effective design solutions. Here, the layout successfully disguised large columns by applying a tinted mirror finish, effectively reflecting the surrounding environment to reduce their visual weight. Around this, a central work oasis is defined by plant-filled dividers and varied acoustic seating. Our main CGI contribution was managing these complex reflections within the 3D space. By accurately computing the mirrored surfaces and the surrounding foliage, the architectural visualization demonstrated exactly how the design intent would function in reality. Showing stakeholders that the heavy columns would virtually disappear gave them the assurance required to sign off on this clever spatial strategy.
