Balcony Reopens

As most frequent visitors know, Balcony was closed (coincidentally) on opening day of the World Cup. The closing was somehow supposed to help the Police Station in charge of Sexual Exploration of Adolescents, (who somehow convinced the Rio Prosecutors) that closing Balcony would further their investigation. The judge finally agreed to let Balcony reopen after 40 days of closure due to a lack of evidence to support the Polices’ allegations (small wonder when there was no evidence). The Investigation still continues, but, everyone knows the accusations are totally false and politically motivated. The politics behind the closure are rumored to be derived from neighbors (with political ties) that feel their property values are decreased (and seemingly other prejudicial reasons) by the presence of Balcony. Balcony employees are appalled at the false allegations and literally left in astonishment as to how such heinous allegations could be made by the Police. Maybe that’s why the police are so well liked in Rio? And, who’s really behind this? We don’t want to dwell on this subject, but, we hope you know there is not a shred of truth behind the accusations (and so do the authorities).
Since reopening, Balcony has had a few new items added to the menu: an American Sausage style Sandwich and a Roast Beef Sandwich, both of which are great and have been received extremely well. The Breakfast Buffet continues to be served starting at 4:00 AM and has been extended till 11:00 AM. Happy Hour continues from 5:00 till 6:00 daily with live entertainment from 5:30 to 8:30 weekdays and 3:00 till 8:00 weekends. Balcony made a few changes in the kitchen and the food borders on incredible and at the least, considered some of the best in Rio. On Saturday and Sunday you’d better get there early because it’s difficult to get a seat lately as the Brasilians are there in hordes; Fillet or ‘Picanha’ on the tableside grill have become super popular. And of course, you can still get a full course meal at any time of the day or night.
