🐸😷 no festivities this year; no bowling, no chili, no beer gardens, no euchre. no socializing with friends and neighbours at the events or the dance, just a single solitary socially distanced swampy parade on saturday at 2pm and some colouring for the kids. what a sad minifest 2021. we hope you are all able to make the best of it and if you still wanted to support the community we do have 2021 minifest buttons for sale for $3 as usual so if you’ve been collecting em for years and didn’t wanna miss one, we’ve got them here for you! happy long weekend everyone, we will be thinking about minifests passed this weekend and all the amazing ones we’ll still have in the future when this whole COVID business is over with!

🍻⚾️ i think we can all agree that labour day weekend is gonna feel a little different this year in minesing. while all we can do is hope that we can throw twice the party next year, please stay safe and responsible this year. happy labour day long weekend to all of our customers and friends, cheers!

PERSONALLY I have been wearing a mask at work when dealing directly with customers (not behind the safety shields) to make people around me feel comfortable and safe and out of courtesy for the elderly and immunocompromised. I encourage others to do so as well, however, I will not tolerate customers or staff being confrontational, disrespectful, or downright nasty and rude to other customers or staff for either not wearing a mask or for choosing to wear one (I have witnessed both).

Please be kind to one another. We are a small community store, most of the time there are not nearly enough bodies in the store for anyone to be anywhere close to six feet close to one another. There are plenty of measures we have been implementing to ensure the safety of our staff and customers including shields, sanitization measures and social distancing measures.

If you feel as though you are too close to another person, in our store please wear a mask or face covering so that everyone feels comfortable. That said, it is not my job, your job, or anyone else’s job to police this rule or confront/ harass/ be rude towards anyone for wearing or not wearing a mask. We hope you all have a wonderful day and stay safe.
