On Saturday, my husband and I were able to sneak away from the Ducky (thanks to our wonderful team!) to spend some quality time as a family with our two children.
We enjoyed a wonderful hike to and from the LaManche Suspension Bridge and worked up quite the appetite! So we decided to head further south to Cape Broyle and check out two raved-about, must-try locations: The Pinch Food Wagon & Riverside Restaurant & Lounge !
We first stopped at The Pinch Food Wagon for an appetizer of Panko Onion Rings and Mozza Sticks. Oh👏My👏Goodness👏 The Panko Onion Rings were probably the BEST Onion rings Piers has ever had, and the Mozza Sticks were absolutely perfect - crispy on the outside, seasoned beautifully and ooey-gooey on the inside! Plus, we got their "secret sauce" on the side, and I swear to you, I could dip absolutely anything in that! 🤤 The owner and staff member took such great care of us and made us feel like family❤️
Next stop was Riverside Restaurant and Lounge! We had a lovely supper in the dining room where we enjoyed Jim Wings, Hot Roast Beef Sandwich, and Kids Chicken Strips. Everything had that comfort-food, homemade taste and we thouroughly enjoyed our meal there 😊. We even treated ourselves to the Britt Bar and Chocolate Lava Cake for dessert! 😍 We can definitely see why Riverside is a local favourite!
If you find yourself traveling along the shore, definitely make a stop in Cape Broyle and try either (or both!) of these wonderful spots! We can't wait to go back and try more of their delicious dishes!
