Good day friends,

Well, we were holding on as long as we could, but we have no choice bit to cancel for this year, for obvious reasons.

To everyone who has attended and been a part of this event for the last 5 years, we live and miss you, and look forward to seeing you again in 2021!

We are still looking into the possibility of a low-key campout and/or cruise on that weekend, so please stay tuned for more info.

But as for the actual event itself on the Sunday, it has Ben cancelled for this year.

There are still spots left for the Fall Equinox Retreat next weekend that I am hosting with the wise and wonderful Dr. Kate Hazlitt. We spent some time today finalizing details and the flow of the day, and it is really going to be the most awesome blend of naturopathics and yoga.

Fall is the season we need to tend the fires within to move into the next season with a good strong immune system, so it is the time of year to cleanse your large intestine and lungs. This retreat is much more than a day to nourish and self-care - you will will be empowered with knowledge and practices to carry with you for a physical, mental, and emotional cleanse. And you will do two yoga practices (one active all-levels flow in the morning, and one yin practice in the afternoon to stimulate the lung and large intestine meridians with "needle-less acupuncture".)

In short, it is blowing my mind that we are creating the EXACT kind of retreat that has been my dream to be part of - smart and useful and full of ceremony, good food, practice and connection, and IT IS GOING TO BE AMAZING!

☮️ Hey friends! Many people have been asking us how they can support Bayfield Volkfest, so we thought we’d post something for all to see.

This is a FREE event for everyone to attend, and we invest our own money into all the many expenses that go into it (renting the Town Hall bathrooms, port-a-potties, stage, PA system, sound person, bands, posters, swag, supplies, etc!), in hopes that we’ll make back our expenses through vendor fees, t-shirts sales, etc. It’s always a tight squeeze, but we do this because we love it! ( )

This year, we are lucky to have a couple amazing sponsors on board to help us cover costs, but other expenses have grown as well, so we would still be appreciative of support.

Here are 10 ways you can support :

1. Spread the word! Share the Facebook event page. Post to Instagram. Tell your friends! 🗣
2. Buy a t-shirt! Plus you’ll look cool!
3. Donate a prize to our raffle table!
4. Do you make cool stuff? Be a vendor!
5. Become a sponsor! Promote your business!
6. Support the vendors! Take home some amazing stuff! Eat some yummy food!
7. Support our sponsors! Show them that you appreciate their support of BV!
8. Write to Huron County, the Municipality of Bluewater, and the Bayfield Chamber and let them know if you enjoy this event and want it to continue!
9. VOLUNTEER! It’s not glamorous, but we can use some help in the morning setting up, and in the afternoon cleaning up. You’ll get lunch and a t-shirt out of the deal!
10. And most important of all, JUST SHOW UP, and have a great time! Bring the kids and the grandparents and your dancing feet! Tie dye a shirt, learn to hula hoop, eat some food, enjoy the music, browse the arts and crafts, and wander around the park checking out the amazing VWs! We have no doubt you’ll leave with a smile on your face!
