Can you believe that these oranges 🍊 are growing in Nova Scotia? The Penner family () has a greenhouse with an orange tree, an avocado tree and a fig tree. You’re lucky if you can snag one of these. Sometimes they’re at their booth Wolfville Farmers' Market, as long as they don’t eat them all themselves! Oranges are ripe right now! @ Berwick, Nova Scotia

We love sumac. We use it on everything from a fish spice rub to flavouring kombucha. Our stores are still strong from the season, but we look forward to spring to when the buds begin again.

There are still many red cones standing tall and alone on the bare branches of winter. We do not harvest too many. They are a source of food for the birds in winter and early spring, so do not be surprised if you see the drupes all winter long. It is more of a last resort for birds, but we enjoy it on everything!

Our menu includes 2 new skillet dishes:

Burrito with pickled maitake mushroom

Wild mushroom and sausage breakfast skillet

Morel mushrooms, sausage, home fries, smoked cheddar, egg, leeks, salsa verde breakfast skillet

Spicy jerk chicken and sweet potato coconut curry
featuring white fleshed sweet potato grown on the Penner Family farm.
