Jackknife existed to feed people.
It moved around a bit. It changed shape.
But it found its footing in Black Creek, because the people there trusted us when it didn’t make much sense to.

Things were done differently.
Mostly on a whim.
Not always sure it would work, but we went for it anyway.
Casual by design. Vibe mattered. The food mattered. The rest was noise.

This place held together because of the people who showed up —
the staff who stuck it out, and the customers who kept coming back.

That’s the part that mattered We also owe thanks to the Brander family for letting us call it home — for giving us the space to do our thing, and letting us be ourselves while we did it.

Life changes. The world changes.
What fits at one point doesn’t always fit forever.

Jackknife doesn’t need to keep going to have mattered.
It did what it was supposed to do.

The recipes are being passed on.

Jackknife was meant to feed you.
Then be passed on.
Make it yours.
