We’re proud to share that SFU Dining has received a Gold Award from NACUFS in the Sustainability Awards category for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion/Social Justice for the “Flavours of the Caribbean” collaboration with SFU’s Black Student Centre and local chef Cullin David.

In celebration of Black History Month, this initiative showcased Caribbean-inspired dishes and Black culinary traditions through food, storytelling, and community connection. Together, we transformed the Dining Commons into a space for cultural exchange, learning, and meaningful engagement.
