A little weekend update from Orchard:

We’ll be closed Sunday evening while the dining room gets borrowed for a wedding — which honestly feels quite fitting for a room full of greenery, chandeliers, and champagne.

So come spend some time with us beforehand: brunch or dinner today, or Sunday brunch before we hand the keys over to the romantics for the evening. We’ll reopen Tuesday for regular service.

A little heads up: some new summer dishes are arriving at Orchard very soon.

Which means if there’s a favourite on the current menu you’ve been meaning to come back for, now would be a very good time. A few beloved plates will be making their exit over the next little while as the new menu rolls in.

And seeing as it’s Wine Monday, there’s really no better excuse to settle in for a long dinner, a few great glasses from the cellar, and one last visit with the current lineup before summer officially takes over.

After years of careful thought (and absolutely no group chat influence), we’re excited to announce a bold new direction for Orchard. Effective today, all of our beloved greenery, hanging plants, and lush foliage will be replaced withvcannabis plants.

We’ve always been committed to growth, and frankly, this just feels like the most profitable version of that.vDon’t worry, the chandeliers are staying. We felt it was important to maintain a sense of elegance while dramatically shifting the business model.

Guests can expect the same beautiful space you know and love, just with a slightly more… relaxing atmosphere. Brunch may take a little longer. Afternoon tea may get a little more philosophical. Dinner conversations? Stronger than ever.

We kindly ask that you admire the plants with your eyes only. Please do not harvest the decor. Reservations are open. Come by, take it all in, and maybe leave a little more chill than you arrived.

As part of the YYC Food & Drink Experience, the team at Orchard Restaurant is offering a five-course dinner that’s been tried and tested by Chef Jenny Kang. It begins with warm corn bread and herb cream cheese before moving through beef tartare topped with shaved foie gras mousse, Humboldt squid with peperonata and chili gremolata, and a balsamic gochujang glazed pork chop with perilla chimichurri and potato mochi. A black sesame custard with feuilletine and yuzu namelaka closes things out, as all good evenings should, with something quietly excellent and a little sweet.

The .exp menu runs through the festival starting tonight and ending on March 29, and is just $70 per person. Reserve online or drop-in to visit us and get your fill five course menu any evening of the week!
