Some drinks come with a good story.

Emperor Pic is our nod to Emilio Picariello: rum-runner, businessman, host, and one of Alberta’s most unforgettable Prohibition-era figures.

Built with Romero Amber Rum, Luxardo Bitter Bianca, Pisco, acid-adjusted pineapple juice, rich simple syrup, and sparkling wine, it’s bright, bold, and finished with a little lift.

Get the story behind the bottle.

Join us for a Romero Distillery Tour & Tasting and get a closer look at how our rum is made, from the stories that shaped it to the process behind every pour.

You’ll hear about Alberta’s Prohibition-era rum-running history, walk through the distillery, and enjoy a guided tasting of our award-winning rums. It’s a good way to spend an afternoon, a better way to start an evening, and the easiest excuse to head over to the lounge after.

Tours are available for groups of up to 10, with larger groups and corporate bookings available by request.

What started as a hosted evening quickly turned into a new favourite spot.

The food? Delicious. (Highly recommend the pulled chicken tacos.) The rum? Even better!

What I loved most was learning how deeply story is rooted in Alberta history. During prohibition, rum runners used routes through the Crowsnest Pass to move alcohol across the region—a piece of local history I had never heard before.

And the vibe? Think speakeasy meets cozy cocktail lounge. The kind of place where you settle in for one drink and somehow stay for three.

Safe to say we’ll be back.
