The Galaxie recalls classic diners of the 1940s, with cooks grilling and plating in an open kitchen and patrons seated at vintage wooden booths. When it's busy, which is most of the time, a line for seats extends out the front door. The diner has become as much a local gathering place as a breakfast joint.
