We’ve been rocking a reservation book for almost 20 years and dealing with all our great customers by hand. Keeps us sharp and keeps everyone happy that when they book at Buchanan’s, they are speaking to a member of our team and family here.

It’s whisky wednesday! Tonight we’re honouring ‘The Quest’ (and no not the awesome van damme/roger Moore one).
has done what few have dared, and has now become only the second man to be enshrined on our illustrious wall for drinking every single whisky in our extensive 400+ collection.
It’s good to have goals kev!
So congrats sir. In his honour we’re repping three absolute classic distilleries, hand picked from some his choicest malts.

Happy Anniversary to us! It’s not often that you get to celebrate a 36th… But back in spring 1988 Michael and Carol Buchanan decided to change the dining landscape in our fair little city. Aren’t we all so glad that they did!

This Friday the yyc food and drink experience is kicking off, and your favourite neighbourhood Chop House & Whisky Bar is looking forward to participating!

70 restaurants downtown are participating in delicous prix fixe menus all week long, and you’re certain to find the best food of the bunch right here.

Fresh Pan Seared Pacific Snapper or a delicious oven roasted pork chop with harvest chutney…. Just a tease of the full selection.

Thank you calgary for an unbelievable holiday season!
