The Rope Loft The historic Rope Loft, known locally as the Old Wharf, is one of the oldest buildings still in commercial use in Nova Scotia, celebrating over 200 years.

And just like that, another incredible season at The Rope Loft has come to an end! 🥹🦞💙

What a year it's been! From delicious seafood and sunny afternoons on the waterfront to plenty of laughs and unforgettable memories, 2026 has given us so much to be thankful for.

To everyone who stopped in for a meal, brought their friends and family, shared a laugh with our crew, or made The Rope Loft part of their summer traditions, THANK YOU! ❤️

And of course, a huge thank you to our incredible staff who work so hard to make The Rope Loft what it is. We couldn't do it without you!

We're already looking forward to welcoming everyone back for another season of good food, cold drinks, and beautiful Chester waterfront views.

This Sunday, October 25th, is our LAST DAY OPEN for the 2026 season!
