Such a fun tropical/travel theme cake!
The flavour was also fun! Vanilla with coconut cream and coconut buttercream with some toasted coconut for crunch and texture.
The space on the cake was filled in with candles and palm trees for this former travel agent mama.
I had some creative/spunky design freedom on this one.

Hey everyone! I am so thankful for you sticking around while I’ve been closed. I’ve been working a day job this year at a school and haven’t been able to focus on my home business.

I will be off work in the summer and not sure how my fall will go as I’ve been through some family trauma the last 5 months. We are doing much better and are getting back to the swing of things.
That being said, my commitments for summer have changed and I’ll be open to summer time orders! I can also manage some spring time weekend orders for Fridays and Saturdays now so please send me a message if you’re looking to book!
I also wanted to mention I am sticking to themed cupcakes as my main business product and wedding/event cakes. I will not be doing birthday cakes, but will offer smash cakes and any occasion cupcakes. I also prefer a minimum order of 2 dozen for efficiency reasons, but 1 dozen may work also, potentially at a slightly greater cost.

I do not have a website currently available, but I hope to remake something soon!

Hello everyone! I wanted to give an update for the new year!

Life has been busy as I decided to return to work part time in September and will be busy till May or June still. Managing this, and my children/pregnancy and other household tasks has been a big job for me so I had to step back from caking.

2025, I hope to take on the occasional order for the first half of the year. I also would love to book weddings as my main priority this year!
I am also prioritizing themed and deluxe cupcakes for special events instead of cakes, except for wedding cakes.
I will be creating a new website with the same domain vdacakes.ca, hopefully, or I will be using a highlight tab for Instagram, I’m not entirely sure yet.
I can be contacted via Facebook or Instagram, but my order form/current website will be closing.

For special events, there is a minimum of 2 weeks notice for bookings and for weddings, 2 months notice.

Finally, I wanted to thank you all for a great and busy year! I love working with my clients to make their vision come true and their tastebuds tingle! Happy New Year!
