A year ago, I was in my kitchen, labeling jars by hand, with my four-month-old asleep by my feet.

I missed home. The smell of roasting chiles, the taste of my family's table. I needed it close. So I started making the salsas I grew up with in Mexico. One jar at a time.

And then something I never expected happened. Strangers bought them. Chefs cooked with them. You shared them.

One year later, this little jar of home has a name, a market table, and a whole community around it.

Gracias, Comox Valley!! You made a homesick mom feel at home again. ❤️

Just unboxed our new insulated food carrier — the hot box that will keep everything warm and ready for our catering events. This beauty holds our pans, keeps the heat in for hours, and means your food arrives just as it left our kitchen: hot, fresh and full of flavor.

We're getting everything ready for a busy season of catering, markets and celebrations — and we can't wait to serve you. Big things coming! ✨

What a day!🔥

Thank you to all our amazing customers who stopped by yesterday — we had two wonderful events, our morning Pop Up Market in Campbell River and our evening Día de Mu***os Market at Gladstone Brewing Co. in collab with my friend Ana from SOMOS Comox Valley, and we are so thankful for each and every one of you.

We loved getting to chat with you, share our salsas and handmade goods, and celebrate with you. Thank you for supporting Casa Fuego, it means the world to us.
