Hot dawg, Cranbrook.
You emptied two Mt. Begbie kegs in less than 24 hours and gave the other three quite a scare at last week's Tap Takeover.
If you've never been to a Fire Hall Tap Takeover, here's the deal. A few times a year, we hand the taps over to one of our favourite breweries. Our chefs build a one-night-only pairing menu around the beers, the brewery crew comes to town, and for a few hours on a Thursday, a regular night at the pub turns into something a little special.
Last week, Mt. Begbie rolled in with five beers and a truckload of good stories. The chefs did what they always do on Tap Takeover nights and started treating the menu like a science experiment. Paul poured roughly one million pints, and a whole lot of people stayed longer than they planned to.
Big thanks to Darryn and the Mt. Begbie team, to our chefs for leaning into the fun, and to everyone who packed the room.
These nights are some of our favourites. Apparently yours too, because they tend to book out.
So next time you see those three magic letters — TTO — give us a call and grab a table.
Which brewery should we invite next? Tag them below and we'll see what Paul can do.
