Either on a cold or sunny day, to cool the insides or warm wholly, the strong taste of Black tea awakens us. Caffeine content ranging from 35 to 50 milligrams allows that calm but alert sensation. Of the blends of Black tea, the focus today is on English Breakfast tea. It has traces of potassium that could increase hydration and energy. Manganese that could help with bone density. Theanine that promotes relaxation allowing a positive sense of the self.

English Breakfast tea holds the memory of my childhood. Breakfast with father at 5:30am to beat the daily traffic. On the days to which he pleases, milk or no milk, sugar or no sugar. As an adult during my fast in the morning, I like it plain. Once my fast is broken, I could make it into a milk tea, preferably hot.

What are your memories with black tea? How do you like to drink your black tea?
