Final day at Kidz Connect - Carnival Day! Kids got to enjoy some awesome bouncy castles, a reptile man, and one final story with Princess Peach and her friends. We learned about Jesus, and how he gave his life for our sins. God's love is unconditional and we've witnessed his hand in this week's Kidz Connect ministry. City Kidz stayed extra at the end of the morning for a pizza party, and the community and congregation kids (with their families) came for a time of fellowship at the evening BBQ. A big thank you goes out to everyone who has helped out for this program to make it a huge success - we couldn't have done it without you! We've shared many good memories, laughs, and smiling faces over the course of the week and we pray that God has touched the lives of all who have been a part of this year's Kidz Connect program, see you next year Kidz Connectors!

Kidz connect day 4 - aka water day! We had a spectacular day getting soaked and having some fun playing many different water activities. Even though it may not have been as sunny and warm as yesterday, we all made the most of the day through a slip and slide, water balloon toss (which turned into more of a water balloon fight), boat races, and much more! Today Lilah and Captain Peggy set out together to rescue Princess Peach, and Captain Peggy welcomes God into her heart by learning how to pray and talk to him. With the week almost coming to a close tomorrow we hope that everyone has an amazing time and will be attending the BBQ in the evening to close the week!

KIDZ CONNECT DAY 3! Ahoy mateys! We made it through a morning of extreme heat - and still managed to have an amazing time! With much sweat and many water breaks, the kids and leaders had and great Tournament Day! Kids enjoyed games like capture the flag, musical islands, and Davey Jones locker and the preschoolers continued to enjoy storytimes; crafts, and many other fun stations. Today in the story, we learned that God is powerful and his love worked through his only son, Jesus, who performed miracles. Princess Peach gives herself up for Captain Peggy, and is captured by the Black Bandit! We look forward to seeing what will happen in the story tomorrow and hope kids will get nice and soaked on everyone's favorite day - Water Day!

What an exciting and energy-filled second day at Kidz Connect! We learned more about God's love, how it is for EVERYONE, even sinners and pirates! The kids tried to stay cool under a misting hose; and enjoyed making some creative wooden boats for craft day. These boats will hopefully be raced later this week! Preschool tried to stay cool under their shade tents - can't wait for tournament day tomorrow!

KIDZ CONNECT DAY 1! With lots of energy, excitement, and fun we kicked off the week with some tshirt decorating, team cheers, and get-to-know-you games on the older kids field. Preschool enjoyed an amazing box pirate ship and had an amazing day too! We sang some old and new songs, and the week's skit started out with Princess Peach setting out on a dangerous journey with her friend Lilah and a pirate named Captain Peggy. We've learned about second chances and started to learn about what God's love really is, and we look forward to learning more and following Princess Peach and her friends on their journey. Can't wait for craft day tomorrow when the kids get to make their own boats!

Please pray for the volunteers, kids, and all involved in the program as the week approaches and unfolds. This year's theme is going to revolve around God's love and the true treasure in heaven. Our theme verse comes from the book of Romans:

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. – Romans 8:38-39
