The Connected Kitchen Project

10/14/2026

We are one of the sponsors for this Seasons Of Connection event series and we would love to invite anyone who is interested in sustainability, circularity, and stewardship to come and join! Registration is free! The first one is this Sunday, October 18th and we are meeting at the Queen Qary Park Community Leauge. Nathan Binemma is going to take us through an intro to where we will find out what can we learn when we slow down and pay attention to the world around us?

We can’t build a more inclusive entrepreneurship system without hearing directly from the people navigating it.

As part of Edmonton’s Inclusive Entrepreneurship Roundtables—graciously hosted by AKSIS and connected to ongoing research at MacEwan University in partnership with the City of Edmonton—we’re continuing to gather real experiences from equity-deserving entrepreneurs.

This work is about more than conversation. It’s about turning research into action and shaping systems that actually reflect what it takes to build a business across different communities.

We’re currently looking to connect with entrepreneurs who have experienced barriers in accessing:
• Space
• Funding
• Networks
• Business supports

Participants will take part in a short listening session (virtual or in-person), and a $50 gift card is offered in appreciation of your time.

This is part of a broader effort bringing together community organizations, government, and entrepreneurs to co-create solutions that work—grounded in lived experience.

If you’ve ever felt like traditional entrepreneurship systems weren’t designed with you in mind, your voice is important here.

Send us a message and we’ll connect you, or reach out directly to:
