Fresh from the ovens of The Wayfarer Café, our pretzel twists shall be making their debut at the Edson Renaissance Faire this weekend!

Choose thy feast:
🧄 The Herbal Twist – Everything Bagel seasoning served with a creamy garlic herb dip.

🧂 The Tavern Twist – Classic salted with our housemade honey mustard.

🍞 Behind the scenes at The Wayfarer Café...

While the café isn't open today, the work never really stops.

Today's mission? Prepping our artisan sourdough loaves for this weekend's signature sandwiches.

Many people don't realize that I do all of the baking for the café myself. Every loaf of sourdough, every brownie, every muffin, every cookie starts right here in my kitchen before finding its way into the Airstream.

I also make our syrups, cold brews, fruit purées, cold foams, and so much more from scratch.
Good food takes time. Great bread can't be rushed.

That's one of the reasons our café hours are limited. When the serving ends, the baking begins all over again.

Thank you for supporting a little family-run café where everything is crafted by hand, one loaf and one cup at a time. 🤎

Chapter One: The Call to Adventure

Just before sunrise, as the first bread came from the oven and the coffee began to brew, a raven arrived at Wayfarer Café carrying a letter sealed in crimson wax.

Elowen carefully broke the seal.

She smiled.

Then quietly closed the Ledger.

"It is time."

Without another word, the Fellowship began to prepare.

Torren checked the wagon.

Rowan scouted the road ahead.

Caelum studied the ancient maps.

Briar gathered fresh bread, warm coffee, tea, and every provision a traveler might need.

No one knows where the road will lead...

Only that every great adventure begins with a single step.

And this...
..is only the beginning.

What a weekend!

Thank you all for another incredibly busy weekend at The Wayfarer Café.

We appreciate your patience through the lunch and drink rushes as we found our rhythm serving sandwiches, handcrafted drinks, and fresh baking. Every weekend teaches us something new, and we're so grateful you've chosen to be part of this journey.

We won't be in Edson for the next two weekends as the trail takes us into new realms for two exciting adventures—the Edson Renaissance Faire followed by Peers Gold Dust Daze!

The prep officially begins, and we can't wait to share these events with you.

Our updated menu for this weekend! Can't wait to see you all at Northside Motorsports in Edson Saturday and Sunday 9am to 3pm.

We will have fresh baked fudgy brownies, sourdough blueberry muffins, oatmeal butterscotch jumbo cookies, sourdough chocolate chip cookies and our Wayfarers lunch which is a roast beef sandwich on fresh sourdough toasted to perfection!

Every sandwich at The Wayfarer Café starts with bread we make completely from scratch. 🍞

Our artisan sourdough is handcrafted, slowly fermented, and baked fresh before becoming the foundation for our toasted sandwiches.

With the heat wave and being out of town today, I only had time to bake a small batch, so there won't be any sourdough loaves available for purchase for a little while.

But... If you've been wanting to try our artisan sandwiches, this weekend is the perfect time. Fresh bread, quality ingredients, and made with care from start to finish.
