Week 3 of picking this morning, and I think they're nearing their end, but not to worry, I got a good haul!! Great crop this year😁

It finally feels like summer is on its way, and quite honestly I'm counting down the days to fall!!

I did spudnuts today, feels like it's been a minute! Only 2 more days planned for the summer!

Today my extras are few and far between. When it's this warm, things proof faster and I lose control.

Good morning spudnuteers!!

Today I did some experimenting, after coming into some rhubarb, I thought I'd try a rhubarb fritter!
You know when you know how to do something but you read something that explains a different way to do it, and you're like yeah ok let's try that....and surprise, surprise it doesn't turn out? Well that's what happened to my attempt at rhubarb fritters, next time I'll use my own brain.

I also happen to follow a LOT of donut pages on FB, and they are all men that own and run their donut shops...isn't that interesting. Anyway two of the fellows I follow have done a doughknot...looked easy enough! Two donuts knotted together
They did not disappoint and are HUGE 🤣

So as of right now I have

3-5pks

Consisting of
1 HUGE doughknot glazed
1 chocolate sprinkle
1 cinnamon sugar
2 cardamom sugar dusted rhubarb fritters*

* These don't have enough rhubarb within, but if you do get a chunk it's beautifully tart, if you're into that!

Today was fun! My favorite food truck, La Gloria asked me to make spudnuts for them to give away with orders for the first food truck Friday of the season!!

So we put a little Latin flare in the flavors,

Traditional cinnamon sugar,
Dulce drizzle glazed
Spicy mango margarita (mango glaze with Tajin)

So if you find yourself wanting some delicous eats, go see Julieta at FTF!! And maybe you'll get a spudnut for dessert!

With the early morning sunrises, I've come to realize, I much prefer donut frying in the dark dead of winter 🤣however I still love donuts and need them in my life.

So with that, I will be scaling back this summer to just the dates listed below. Reserve your spot today! ⬇️
