Hello Fish Place friends and family. I know you have all read about our devastating loss. Karl Paetschke’s Celebration of Life will be held at The Fish Place on September 26th, 2026 at 2pm. Anyone is welcome. We are also doing a tribute book if anyone would like to contribute a memory with Karl.

Celebrate the life of Karl Paetschke and join others in sharing memories, stories, and condolences.

Yesterday, on July 2, 2026, our community lost a truly special person. It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Karl Paetschke husband, father, patriarch and owner.

For so many years, he welcomed everyone through the doors of The Fish Place with kindness, warmth, and a smile that made every guest feel like family. The restaurant was more than just a place to eat—it was a gathering place built on hard work, generosity, and genuine care for the community.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Karl Paetschke’s family, friends, staff, and everyone whose life was touched by him. The memories created, friendships made, and lives impacted will never be forgotten.

Please keep the family and the entire Fish Place family in your thoughts during this difficult time.

A celebration of Life will be held in the future to celebrate his life.

We would love to wish a Very Happy Mothers Day to all of the mothers out there. Any mothers who come in today will receive a free rose as long as supplies last! We hope to see you all out today! We would love to wish you all a Happy Mother’s Day in person!

We would like to thank our staff for the valiant efforts they have put in today. As our busiest day of the year they went above and beyond to serve our valued customers. We would also like to thank our amazing customers for your patience while we navigated our busiest day in the history of our establishment!!! Good Friday has always been our busiest day but this year you all helped us break records!! Hope you all had a wonderful Good Friday and we wish you all a Happy Easter weekend.
