My sincere gratitude and all my love to each one for your overwhelming support for Rabih Abouhalka, Your Chef de Table, aka the Nomad Chef, my son, my friend and business partner, from the moment he was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic and liver cancer in July 2018.
To everyone who prayed, phoned, sent messages, visited at home & at hospitals, taking the time to keep him company even for long hours, to bring and share a meal with him, coming from Montreal and even Vancouver and financially assisted through Go Fund Me as well as privately. Thank You.
Medical doctors had given up on him since his diagnosis but till the end we hoped for a miracle for Rabih's determination to stay alive and the divine positive energies and love that we felt all along, with the help of non-conventional treatments here and abroad. Unfortunately it was too late. At the end his frail body could no longer cope with cancer and the suffering.
Some of you attended the Last Rites. When Rabih passed away, you left work, came from Ottawa, and abroad to join us for the visitation, wrote testimonials on the "memory box" and social media, made donations to Hospice Wellington in Guelph and The Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada and shared in the religious ceremony transmitted on social media for those of you who were too far away Thank you.
Following the church ceremony, you joined us at the cemetery and proceeded to celebrate his life as he wished it. Thank you.
Unfortunately these words sound empty as they are unable to convey my deepest feelings, nevertheless I thank You All, each and everyone.
Take great care of yourselves and your loved ones. Sincerely
Nicole Abouhalka
