Our Story

Darrell's, originally named My Other Brother Darrell's, has been a Halifax hot spot since 1992. Located on Fenwick Street in the South End of Halifax, Darrell's has been a favourite stomping ground for students, local professionals, neighbours, families, first daters and all who have heard the rumblings of our fantastic food, consistency and great service. Once accompanied by The Missing Sock Laundromat, our downstairs was remodeled in 2004 to accommodate our patrons and is now named Darrell's Sports Café. The Sports Café serves as alternate seating, a great venue for sporting events on the big screen, a large room for private functions and offers a slightly different atmosphere to the upstairs dining area. You can also enjoy our quiet patio in the summer for a great "outdoor" experience. Darrell's is proud to be an annual winner of The Coast "Best-of-Food" awards in many categories such as Best Milkshake, Best Place to Eat Alone, Best Veggie Burger and Best Burger in Halifax 10 years running! We've also won awards for Best Wrap, our famous Darrell Fries and best lunch! If you're a lover of a great club sandwich, trying one of our famous and most popular items, The Pita Club, is a must. There are many delicious items available on our menu and a wide variety of healthy options for those who desire a healthy choice including a gluten free bun option when ordering one of our famous burgers. We pride ourselves on the use of the best quality products available, our well-known consistency and above all, customer service. We believe that every visit should be a memorable experience. Darrell's has also recently renovated the kitchen to include a completely new design and rebuild. This was done to ensure faster service, especially during lunch hour. We realize that when people only have one hour for lunch we want to be able to make that one-hour as stress free as possible. We've cut our time to the table in half and now average 15 minutes with a full restaurant!
