If you cannot book a tropical vacation this week, we highly recommend eating one instead.

Meet the Summer Mood Curry. We took the rich, savoury depth of our classic Panang curry and brightened it up for the season. Loaded with sweet pineapple chunks, crisp fresh green beans, and incredibly juicy prawns, it is the perfect balance of sweet, savoury, and exactly what your warm-weather cravings ordered.

Come get a taste of sunshine in a bowl.

The weather is perfect, the good moods are activated, and our woks are officially fired up.

A fresh week deserves fresh flavours, and there is no better way to celebrate the sunshine than letting someone else cook your dinner. We are bringing the heat inside so you can enjoy the breeze outside. Whether you are grabbing a quick lunch or settling in for a family-style dinner, we are ready to match the energy of the city today.

Come for the authentic Thai flavours, and stay because you did not have to clean a single pan.

The days are getting longer, the air is finally warming up, and the weekend is in full swing.

There is a specific kind of energy that comes with a beautiful late May Saturday in the city. It is the perfect time to slow down, catch up with the people who matter most, and share a great meal. Whether you are craving a cold, refreshing drink after enjoying the sunshine or gathering around a table of fresh, vibrant family-style dishes, we are here to make your weekend special.

Here is a glimpse of what we are pouring and plating this evening. Our doors are open, and your table is waiting.

Sometimes, a recipe is more than just a meal. It is a memory we get to keep sharing with you.

As we approach 25 years of My Thai, we are looking back at the foundation of our family business. The newspaper clipping in this post tells the story of Vanh’s brother, Johnny. He arrived in Canada as a teenage refugee with a profound understanding of true Thai flavors. He stepped into a restaurant kitchen to prove it, and eventually became our very first Executive Chef.

Johnny had incredibly big dreams for our family. Over 10 years ago, we suffered an unimaginable loss when he passed away. While the grief of losing a brother never truly fades, there is profound comfort in seeing his life's work live on.

Food is how we keep his spirit close. Our Mango Goddess Chicken was inspired by his bright, generous energy and his unparalleled ability to balance flavors. Made with fresh summer mango, tender chicken, crisp snow peas, and sweet peppers, it captures the warmth he brought to every room he entered.

Johnny is no longer here to cook for you, but his legacy is served in every single bowl. Thank you to the Hamilton community for keeping his dream alive and keeping his signature dish in your hearts.

Making headlines in Hamilton.

We poured our hearts into building My Thai, and it is incredibly rewarding to be recognized alongside other female leaders in the local culinary space.

Thank you to Heather Peter and the Hamilton Spectator for naming us as one of the must-try women-owned restaurants in the city. The food industry is evolving, and we are thrilled to stand alongside so many incredible women making their mark.

Not every take makes the final cut… and honestly, that’s the funniest part πŸ˜‚πŸœ

Behind the perfect food shots and smooth transitions is a whole lot of laughing, missed lines, and chaos.
