I have bulk white and whole wheat flour, cookie dough in packages to bake at home, bulk ingredients, oatmeal cookie mix, and some frozen buns, bread etc. Please note I will not be able to slice anything, and it is a small amount of frozen products. It is with the utmost sadness we must inform you that Harriston Bakery is now closed. It has been an amazing 15 years serving our community, as well as a difficult one. The last 3 years since Covid hit has been by far the most challenging, as the business was hard it with restrictions, crazy inflation and shortages of ingredients, to finding staff.

Thank you to everyone for all your support since we opened and relocated. We were welcomed into our beautiful community with open arms. Becky has raised and is continuing to raise her daughters in our community with pride, we have had our family grow with my great grandchildren (Becky’s grandchildren) and are proud to call Minto home.

We want to give a special thank you to all our past and present staff. You have become family to us, and we love watching you all grow, become parents and make your dreams come true. Thank you all for everything you have done and for being there on this journey.
We hope one day someone will continue what has been a tradition since 1875 and bake with love for our community.

In the coming weeks Becky will be running a sale of our frozen bread and buns, and other products. Bags of cookie dough, flour and other ingredients. She will post the dates and times closer to the sale.

Much love June and Becky (and the bakery family)

I am sorry to say that we are out of donuts for the day.
Please be sure to order your donuts for Friday and Saturday.
Because of shortages with suppliers, we were unable to get Chocolate or Maple icing.

Each day, the donut dough is made at 5:30-6:00. The amount of dough is based on orders we have in house as well as what we feel we need in the store.

The amount for store donuts is based on the time of year, are we expecting nasty weather, the amount we sold previously on the same day, is there something going on in town, is there something going on in a neighbouring town, and anything else we can think of, or we know about.

It would be nice to have a crystal ball to help us determine how many to make each day, but, we don’t.

We receive many calls all day from customers wanting donuts, and that is wonderful.

We would appreciate it even more, if those donuts were ordered the previous day. The result would be, we have donuts for the store as well as orders, and customers don’t leave the store disappointed.

Thank you so much for your support!!

Please understand what not using cash is doing !!!
Cash is important!
Why should we pay cash everywhere with banknotes instead of a card?

- I have a $50 banknote in my pocket. Going to a restaurant and paying for dinner with it. The restaurant owner then uses the bill to pay for the laundry. The laundry owner then uses the bill to pay the barber. The barber will then use the bill for shopping. After an unlimited number of payments, it will still remain a $50, which has fulfilled its purpose to everyone who used it for payment and the bank has jumped dry from every cash payment transaction made...

- But if I come to a restaurant and pay digitally - Card, bank fees for my payment transaction charged to the seller are 3%, so around $1.50 and so will the fee $1.50 for each further payment transaction or owner re laundry or payments of the owner of the laundry shop, or payments of the barber etc..... Therefore, after 30 transactions, the initial $50 will remain only $5 and the remaining $45 became the property of the bank thanks to all digital transactions and fees.
