We've had a very very late start this year with getting staff on board. We didn't really start getting applications in until just this week. Then the fire took our attention for a bit but we're just about staffed up and getting the newbies trained. We are hoping to go to nights as soon as everyone's feeling comfortable working on their own. So for now we're 12-6 seven days a week and hopefully by next week we will be ready to go to full summer hours.
We're getting there!

Ok! We're a bit late but we're gonna open today, my son's going to be at the shop around 1:30 and we'll stay till 6pm. Then tomorrow it's business as usual, shaking it off and getting on with it.
Thanks for all the offers of support. We've found a place to live that's furnished so we're going to be ok. If you have items to donate please direct them to our neighbours or The table, there's plenty of need in this town, let's keep this community spirit going for them. Our gratitude is off the charts.

As many of you know, Archer, Anwyn, James and I, lost our family home on Friday morning to an absolutely devastating fire that also took our neighbours home as well.
Tomorrow being Monday, we can start to replace all our IDs, credit cards, get keys made for our cars (the two that survived), meet with the insurance adjuster, cancel utilities, find a rental home... An endless list of things to get done...
We hope to be back to work on Tuesday. I'll keep you posted.

When you get a power outage the number one rule in a kitchen is "don't open the walkin freezer door!"... So we left everything in place in the shop, in order to safeguard the product in the walk in. Suffice to say, the shop stock is all cooked this morning... We'll have to replace everything today and reopen tomorrow. Thank goodness it was super busy this weekend so there wasn't too much in there. 🫠
Anyone want a milkshake? 😏
