Hello Everyone! Hope you are having a great Family Day.
It's been almost a year (March 4, 2020) that we sold our Pastaplus location in the Crossroads Plaza. We had plans on re-opening, but then 10 days later, the 1st covid lock-down happened. At first, we saw this as a blessing to take some well-deserved time off and get rejuvenated after almost a decade of running Pastaplus.
Unfortunately, we didn't do anything exciting because of the state of the world; but we are thankful that we had the opportunity to re-group with our family and spend time with our kids.
So, here we are a year later. Covid really has put a damper on our plans with Pastaplus. After many conversations, analysis of the state of the world (Covid), and taking a good look at how we would like to spend the next 15 years before retirement, it is with a heavy heart, that Anthony & I are announcing that we have decided that due to covid we will not be re-opening Pastaplus.
It has been a very mentally, emotional, exhausting process to come to this decision, but we believe it is in the best decision for us.
We thank all the employees, catering staff and co-op students that have worked with us throughout the years (too many to mention, but some special shout outs to Michael Sutherland, Dylan Hunter, David Purkis, Grace Hill, Michelle Smith, Nicholas Defrais, Claudia Ciamarone and our kids, Daniel, Elizabeth & Madelin). Everyone that has been a part of Pastaplus has made our almost a decade at Pastaplus an adventure that we will hold dear to our hearts. We created many memories, met a lot of people that impacted our business and our lives.
To our customers, near and far, occasional customers, catering customers, and regular customers....you were the back-bone of our business and without all of you throughout the years, we wouldn't have been as successful as we were. Much thanks to each and everyone of you for entrusting us to cook for you and for supporting us.
We are grateful for the experience and the connections we have made during the almost 10 years with Pastaplus.
Anthony & I are working on some other business ideas, but unfortunately, it will not be in food. We are excited about the next stage of our life, whatever that may be. We know that our path will cross with most of you; it will be great to still know everyone.
Take care, stay safe.
Love,
Anthony & Nancy & the Abate Family
