Sweet greetings all!

It has been a while since our last post and wanted to let you know, that we are turning ‘pages’ in our Sweet Spot Story 💕

We would like to welcome Paige Badminton from as the new owner of Sweet Spot Cupcakes. She is going to be expanding her business into ours, will be offering new goodies, as well as the daily cupcakes, and doing a re-brand in the new year.

Stay tuned for more information as we are very excited for this new chapter in the Sweet Spot Book.

💕Exciting shop news everyone!!

As you know, we put the business up for sale recently. Life for me in the last year or so has changed and while it’s bittersweet, it was time to let go.

The business has officially sold last week to another local small business owner and I am so excited to see what she does and wish her nothing but success 💕

Now, we will be closed from Tuesday September 30th to Tuesday October 21st for a much needed break/vacay, time to rebrand/revamp, and to start the transition to the new owners. Our regular hours will resume for the last couple weeks of October for all of your cake and cupcake needs. Then the new owners will officially take over Saturday November 1st.

Don’t worry, we will still offer custom cakes and cupcakes as well as a smaller selection of daily cupcakes but we will also be adding some other goodies too. So stay tuned to see what will be offered daily in-store for walk-in’s!

Thank you everyone for your support and patience. It has been an honour to make your custom cakes and cupcakes for all of your special events and I’m so excited for this new chapter 💕💕

Aaaand we’re back!

Thank you everyone for your patience with us yesterday. Our sink decided to stop working for us so we needed to ensure we had it back up and running before we could reopen, and today is the day!

We will be closed for the next couple days for walk-in’s, due to some equipment issues/repairs.

All orders are still confirmed, and will not be cancelled, unless done so by the client directly. Orders will be ready to go by their requested pick up times.

Sweet Greetings All!

This post is bittersweet as we announce the business is for sale 💕

The last (almost) 6 years have been a huge learning curve and rollercoaster with the ups and downs that go along with small business ownership.

I have learned a lot as a person and as a business owner and I wouldn’t trade the experience for anything else. We have come to realize our journeys are on a different path now and we would love to see Sweet Spot Cupcakes succeed with a new owner or a new team of people bringing beautiful cakes and cupcakes to Kamloops. We are hoping for new ownership to take place in September 2025 so we are motivated to sell.

We are all in good spirits as everyone is going to be moving on to something new this fall; some of us are moving away for university, attending tru full time for their degree, or just moving on in their next life journey.
