Meet Maleny!

8 years in the kitchen, and she still gets more excited by a local market than a tourist attraction. That pretty much tells you everything you need to know.

Her cooking style? Fresh, natural, seasonal; shaped by growing up surrounded of real produce and a deep love for vibrant, living ingredients. Her secret weapon: Italian lemon.

When she’s not in the kitchen, you’ll find her with her hands in the soil, planting, growing, nurturing. She brings that same energy to every plate.

Ask her her favourite Toncini dish and she’ll genuinely struggle to choose (Ragu Bolognese, Tiramisu, and Ravioli if you push her).

And if you’re a regular who comes back smiling? You’ve already made her day.

Born in Italy, 13 years deep in professional kitchens, and still going. He’s the kind of person who plays basketball on his days off, travels when he can, and genuinely believes olive oil fixes most things.

At Toncini, he cooks the way he lives; authentic, relaxed, and driven by good ingredients. If you ask him what to order, he’ll say everything (he means it), but the pasta will always have a special place. And if you’re wondering whether it’s cooked right? Grey can tell just by looking at it.

What makes this place worth showing up to every day, he says, is the people. At work and at home, that’s what it comes down to.
